FREEDOM OF THE CITY OF LONDON

In 2026 I was awarded the Freedom of the City of London via my membership to The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, a very, very proud day for me and my family.

The LONDON GUIDING COURSE

After completing The Knowledge of London in Aug 2023 I was very curious to know how and why London ended up the way it is, for example, I did not understand the reason behind London being made up of 2 individual City’s, each with it’s own separate laws, Mayor and Police force. Why, when I was learning the streets in the City of London I could not find any roads only streets. The curiosities where endless.

London had over 2000 years of history for me to discover and the discovery started with me completing “The World Famous Knowledge of London 1865” and the fantastically interesting tour guide course provided by The Worshipful Company of Hackney Drivers.
